   • High Manganese Steel (Mn13, Mn18): Most common; offers excellent toughness and work-hardening properties (surface hardness increases under impact, up to 500+ HBW, while the core remains ductile). Ideal for medium-hard to hard ores.
   • Alloy Steel (Cr-Mo-Ni Reinforced): Enhanced wear resistance for highly abrasive ores (e.g., quartz, sandstone). Contains chromium and molybdenum to boost hardness (≥50 HRC) and reduce wear rate.
   • High-Chrome Cast Iron: Ultra-hard (≥60 HRC) but less tough; used for extremely abrasive, low-impact applications.
3. Mounting Structure: Bolted or clamped to the crusher’s upper frame (adjustable to fine-tune the discharge gap).
4. Ribs/Grooves: Some designs include internal ribs to reinforce structural strength or surface grooves to improve ore grip and crushing efficiency.
