Crane Wire Rope Pulley is a core component of hoisting machinery, mainly used to change the direction of steel wire ropes and transmit loads. It is widely applied in ports, mines, construction, wind power, and other fields.

Product Structure and Materials

1. Core Structure
   A pulley consists of a hub, a rope groove, a shaft, bearings, and a sealing device. The hub is usually made of cast iron (HT15-33) or cast steel (ZG35Ⅱ) to ensure high strength and wear resistance. The surface of the rope groove is subjected to cold-rolled strain hardening treatment, and its hardness is increased to 1.3 times the industry standard, significantly extending the service life. Some high-end products use 304 stainless steel or nylon composite materials. The former is corrosion-resistant and suitable for marine environments; the latter is lightweight (with a self-weight only 1/7 of that of steel) and has excellent self-lubricating performance, which can extend the service life of steel wire ropes by 10 times.
2. Bearings and Seals
   Rolling bearings (such as tapered roller bearings) are adopted, combined with a maintenance-free design. The cavity is filled with long-acting grease to isolate dust pollution, achieving maintenance-free operation for more than 5 years. Some models are integrated with self-lubricating bearings to reduce the friction coefficient and improve efficiency.

Working Principle and Technical Parameters

1. Mechanical Properties
   Mechanical gain is achieved through a multi-pulley block. A single pulley can change the direction of force, and a movable pulley block (such as 3 times the ratio) can save 2/3 of the force. The radius of the pulley rope groove is designed to be 0.6 times the diameter of the steel wire rope (R = 0.6d) to maximize the contact area and reduce the wear of the steel wire rope.

   • Load range: From 0.3-ton micro pulleys to 32-ton heavy-duty pulleys, meeting the needs of different scenarios.
   • Pulley diameter: 100mm to 520mm, suitable for φ6-φ40mm steel wire ropes.
   • Protection level: IP54 (dustproof and waterproof), and some models reach IP67, adapting to harsh environments.
   • Rotation speed: Up to 200 revolutions per minute, meeting high-speed hoisting requirements.
